Expert Response by Apical Immigration Experts:
A job offer letter or employment contract alone is not sufficient to demonstrate your work experience for the purposes of a Vetassess skills assessment. These documents simply indicate an intention to employ or an agreement between an employer and employee, but they do not provide evidence that you actually performed the duties of the role.
Vetassess requires evidence of completed and verifiable employment, showing that you have already undertaken the work relevant to your nominated occupation.
To support your application, you must provide documentary proof of actual work experience, such as:
Employer reference letters detailing:
Your official job title
Duration of employment (start and end dates)
Nature of employment (full-time/part-time, hours per week)
A comprehensive list of your duties and responsibilities
Contact details of the referee
Recent payslips or salary records
Taxation documents or social security records
Bank statements showing regular salary deposits
Performance evaluations, project reports, or other work output (if applicable)
You may include contracts or offer letters as supporting documents, but they are considered supplementary evidence only. If the details in these documents are consistent with your reference letters and payslips, they can help strengthen your case. However, they must not be the sole evidence submitted, as they do not independently establish that you performed the job.
Vetassess is primarily interested in proven, completed work experience. We recommend submitting a well-documented portfolio of evidence, including reference letters and salary records, to demonstrate your eligibility.
